“Today, my son, 7 yo, was diagnosed with his first ever ear infection, accompanied by stomach pain. The stomach pain woke him up Monday in the middle of the night. Now, for anyone who knows <client name>, you can appreciate that he is a bit of a drama queen in general - but he stayed home from school, slept a lot, and didn't eat. Completely not himself. SOBBING in pain in his ear but he refused to take advil or tylenol for the pain. I thought that maybe it was even his appendix, he had such low abdomen pain. Took him to doctor - no appendix issue but ear infection. Recommended antibiotic but since I KNOW antibiotics are not generally recommended for ear infections anymore, and this is his very FIRST one, I said I'd like to give it a few days and see what our homeopath had to say. Doctor said okay. Of course, I called Cheryl, our homeopath. She asked me a bunch of questions, determined a remedy (I have an at-home kit given to me at my baby shower), and gave me instructions for dosage, etc. Had his first dose at 6:45 PM. "I wonder if it's just hopeful thinking but he seems to be responding favorably already. Today after eating yogurt and a few bites of pancakes he looked at me and said, "eggs." I've never heard him ask for eggs before. So I made him eggs! He seemed pleased with himself for being able to ask and then have his request honored. Also last night at physical therapy he was more engaged and played an amazing game of catch with his therapist. He faked her out, threw really strong and targeted pitches, completely engaged and playful. And effortless precision with catching vs. his previous sleepy half interested tosses and lazy catches. We watched a movie last night and he seemed to be engaged and watching. One side effect though is extreme tiredness. He's doing remote school and barely staying awake today. Despite sleeping last night. But I think that probably makes sense if the body is healing."

"I think when you battle autoimmune crap, it's so easy to get wrapped up in the endless pain, exhaustion, and world of unknowns. So I'm trying to shift to the victories.
Since before my daughter, my INR (Immune mediated brachial plexopathy) levels were horrible. They would never treat my clots until there was a "major episode" such as a massive stroke. They've reminded me I'm high risk for one. I've followed the diets they've given trying to reduce my numbers. Nothing. Literally just waiting for them to treat me...ya know after a stroke.
I've worked with Cheryl Wood trying the homeopath route after hitting what felt like roadblock after roadblock. 3 remedies in and my INR is normal. I haven't had my anticoagulant antibodies retested, but all other clotting tests are normal for the first time in a decade.
While my muscle weakness is still progressing, the joint pain is less and so is the muscle spasms and daily pain - without narcotics or daily NSAIDs.
Sixish months of homeopath remedies has gotten me further than 15 years of "modern" medicine.
Oh and did I mention that I can eat without instant nausea now!!!"
